Tamako Kitashirakawa is a cheerful and gentle high school girl who lives in a shopping district called Usagiyama Shopping Street in the anime series Tamako Market. She is the daughter of the owner of a mochi shop and is often seen helping out at the store. Tamako is a bit of an airhead, but she has a kind heart and is loved by everyone in the shopping district. Her daily life is filled with comedic moments as she navigates her relationships with her friends and family, all while trying to avoid the awkward advances of a mochi-loving boy named Dera Mochimazzi, who claims to be a prince from a distant land. With her trusty chopsticks always by her side, Tamako takes on each day with a smile, never failing to bring joy and laughter to those around her.
